2016 Youth Residency Program

EXHIBITION:
Saturday, March 26, 2016, 1-4pm

PHOTO-SYNTHESIS is a new youth residency program that aims to provide youth with the opportunity to work in parallel with emerging artists, learning new skills and gaining an understanding of what it means to be a professional artist. Participants will work collaboratively towards the creation and exhibition of their own photographic work, learning about digital photography techniques, how to develop a series of works, and the process of preparing for an exhibition.

Alvin Luong

Alvin Luong is an artist who works with photography and digital video. Luong is pursuing an honours BA in Visual Studies at the University of Toronto and will be graduating in April 2016. Luong currently works as a photography and video studio assistant at the University of Toronto, has been a facilities and technical intern at Gallery 44 Centre for Contemporary Photography, and a research and programming assistant at Gallery TPW (Toronto Photographers Workshop). Luong has exhibited at Gallery 44 Centre for Contemporary Photography, and Trinity Square Video centre for media arts.
