INTERCONNECT focused on interdisciplinary practices, and was a SPARK Cultural Hotspot project in partnership with the City of Toronto,  the Doris McCarthy Gallery & the Office of the Vice-President and Principal, University of Toronto Scarborough.


OFF-CANVAS

OFF CANVAS focused on contemporary painting practices, and was generously supported by the Ontario Arts Council, the Doris McCarthy Gallery & the Office of the Vice-President and Principal, University of Toronto Scarborough.

This inaugural youth residency focused on photographic practices. The first year of this program was generously supported by the Toronto Arts Council through a Platform A Micro-Grant provided by VIBE Arts.

Y+ contemporary hosted regular group critique nights for practicing artists in the Scarborough community and beyond. This was an opportunity to meet with other emerging artists, discuss your work and receive feedback in a supportive environment.


WRITING MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

SELECTED WRITERS: Desmond Miller, Marina Fathalla, Genevieve Flavelle, Lauren Lavery, Olivia Wallace

REPLY ALL is a newly established writing mentorship program. Emerging writers were commissioned to produce short texts that respond to critical issues surrounding Y+ contemporary’s programming, under the mentorship of an established arts writer.
