INTERCONNECT

2018 Youth Residency Program

Exhibition at Y+ contemporary:
Saturday, June 23, 2018 from 1-4PM

On display at Doris McCarthy Gallery Vitrines:
July 7 – August 12, 2018

INTERCONNECT aims to provide youth with the opportunity to work in parallel with emerging artists, learning new skills and gaining an understanding of what it means to be a professional artist. Participants work collaboratively towards the creation and exhibition of their work, learning new techniques, how to develop a body of work, and the process of preparing for an exhibition. This year’s residency, focused on interdisciplinary practices, is facilitated by Y+.

The residency runs May 20 to June 10, 2018, with an exhibition taking place at Y+ contemporary on Saturday, June 23, 2018. An extended exhibition of the youth residents’ work will be on display at the Doris McCarthy Gallery vitrines beginning in July.
